Torrevieja is a very popular holiday destination on the Costa Blanca, renowned for its sandy beaches which stretch for miles.

Before the advent of tourism, Torrevieja's main source of income was from sea salt. The salt works are still operational and are the most productive in Europe, (the second most important in the world).

Torrevieja has a lovely palm lined promenade which is perfect for a daytime or evening stroll. The night market in Torrevieja stretches all along the prom from about 8 p.m. onwards and is a must for the bargain hunter. There is an excellent choice of shops and the lively atmosphere of Torrevieja town makes browsing a pleasant experience. The choice of restaurants is endless and, being a fishing town, fish dishes are a speciality. If you are a fish eater, you shouldn't miss a trip to Sardine Alley in Torrevieja.

Boat trips are available from the harbour at Torrevieja. Watersports include windsurfing, Jet Ski's, scuba diving etc. There is plenty of nightlife in Torrevieja with bars & night-clubs to please everyone.
